iPLAY PROGRAMS

Program Description

This program is designed for boys and girls in 2nd-12th grade.

We provide the coaches.
-
Rookie/Power/Select have assigned teams based on player evaluations.

Rookie/Power/Select teams will have a minimum of 4 and maximum of 9 players
-
The players have one-weekday practice/game per week over an nine-week period.

Each practice is 90 minutes long
-
During the practices, volleyball skills will be taught and play scrimmage games designed for their skill level.

Players choose their division when registering, but we reserve the right to move players up or down for safety reasons.
DIVISiON DEFINITIONS:
• Prep: 7-10 years old; 2nd-4th graders with little or no experience in volleyball. The net is lower than regulation (6 foot 6 inches); ; the ball is lighter than regulation and the instruction is structured for the youngest players. There is 1 coach for every 6 players with a maximum of 18 players per court.
• Rookie: 11-13 years old; 5th-8th graders with little or no experience in volleyball. The net is lower than regulation (6 foot 6 inches); the ball is lighter than regulation and the instruction is structured for the beginning players. There is 1 coach for every 9 players with a maximum of 18 players per court.
• Power: 12-15 years old; 7th-10th graders with some previous experience with volleyball. The net is girls' regulation height (7 foot 4 inches) and the ball is high school regulation, and the instruction is basic but faster than the other divisions. There is 1 coach for every 9 players with a maximum of 18 players per court.
• Select: 14-18 years old; 9th-12th graders with previous experience with volleyball in middle school high school or club. The net is girls' regulation height (7 foot 4 inches) and the ball is high school regulation; the instruction is more advanced (high school level) and faster than in the other divisions. There is 1 coach for every 9 players with a maximum of 18 players per court.
